The New York City Trauma Recovery Network, a part of the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program, is dedicated to providing pro bono EMDR therapy to those who have experienced critical incidents, such as first responders (fire, police, EMS), as well as military members, veterans, humanitarian aid workers, and crime victims. Services are provided by trained and licensed EMDR therapists. EMDR therapy is very helpful in addressing the trauma symptoms that medical professionals and first responders can experience in disasters.

Because NYC is currently the epicenter of the spread of Covid-19, we are now focusing our services on supporting healthcare workers who are on the front lines of this national emergency, providing care to those affected by the virus, under very stressful conditions. We will begin by serving staff of the hardest hit hospitals, and expand to other hospitals and other first responders as our capacity builds. All services will be provided remotely.

EMDR clinicians will provide six to ten pro bono sessions.
