Board Members Announce Retirement After Years of Dedicated Service
This month, we bid a heartfelt farewell to two of our dedicated board members, Carolyn McNally and Kenneth Miller, as they step down from their roles. Their years of service, leadership, and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact on our mission and the communities we serve. We are deeply grateful for their contributions and wish them every happiness and success in this next chapter.
Carolyn McNally, Ed D
Carolyn McNally served for over 10 years as a Trauma Recovery/HAP Board Member. For many of those years, she held the role of Board Secretary, where her thoughtful stewardship and attention to detail helped guide the Board’s work and ensure its continued effectiveness. She also contributed her expertise as a member of the Advancement Committee, supporting initiatives such as donor stewardship, event planning, and fundraising. Carolyn brought a wealth of experience and knowledge from a career in Program Development with Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) in Connecticut, as well as many years within the public school system throughout several states. Her contributions throughout the years have helped guide our organization. She will be greatly missed!
Carolyn had the following words to share, “It has been an honor to know and to work with you all for the past ten years, and to support such a worthy cause that brings light and hope to dark and seemingly hopeless situations. You help that to happen.
I look forward to spending time with family and with local philanthropy and will continue to follow and support the good work that HAP does all over the world.”
Kenneth Miller
Ken Miller joined the Trauma Recovery/HAP Board in 2019 and will have served six years upon his retirement. Ken brought to the Board a wealth of experience from his distinguished career as Associate General Counsel (Investments) at Yale University in Connecticut. His expertise in law, economics, and public policy proved invaluable in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring its long-term sustainability.
Throughout his tenure, Ken provided steady guidance on the Finance Committee, helping to safeguard the financial health of the organization. He also made significant contributions as a member of the Bylaw Working Group, helping to strengthen the policies that support our mission. We are grateful for Ken’s dedication, insight, and generosity of spirit, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter.
